Our Favorite Side Salad with Pecans and Aged Cheddar

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Head Lettuce Preferably Green or Red Leaf, washed and chopped
  • ½ Cup Grated Cheddar We use aged white cheddar
  • ¼ Cup Glazed Pecans or Walnuts Chopped
Honey Dijon Vinaigrette
  • 1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
  • 2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Tablespoon Honey
  • ¼ Teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • ¼ Teaspoon Black Pepper

Method
 

  1. Combine all the ingredients for the dressing in a small bowl and whisk to combine. Set aside.
  2. In a large salad bowl, add the chopped lettuce and top with grated cheddar and chopped pecans.
  3. Just prior to serving, add the salad dressing and toss well to combine.
