While it may still be over a hundred degrees every day, fall is coming y’all! Fall is one of our favorite seasons in DFW because there are just SO many activities and outings to choose from with kids. This is our list of the best fall activities with kids in Dallas and beyond.
If you want more Dallas family fun, check out our ultimate guide to Dallas with kids!
Core Dallas Fall Outings (The Staples)

Autumn at the Arboretum: A must-see staple featuring the massive Pumpkin Village, trick-or-treating events, and seasonal family photo spots. Theme changes annually. Members get access to exclusive Halloween events and early morning hours to beat weekend crowds. (Sept 19 – Nov 1)
-
State Fair of Texas (Fair Park): Go on weekdays, bring a stroller for tired toddlers, and get Fletcher’s Corn Dogs and Big Tex photo ops early. Rainy days offer empty fairgrounds with no lines (just pack ponchos). Skip the Ferris wheel due to steep lines and prices. (Sept 25 – Oct 18)
