If you’re looking for the perfect blend of cozy autumn crispness, world-class dining, and breathtaking Pacific Northwest views, a fall babymoon in Seattle is hard to beat! Traveling at around 29 weeks pregnant, we wanted a Seattle babymoon itinerary that balanced fun, memorable sights with plenty of rest and incredible food.

From iconic markets and scenic ferry rides to luxury stays and foliage-filled parks, here is our complete day-by-day guide to 4 days in Seattle!

Where to Stay in Seattle on a Babymoon: Points & Luxury Splurges

To get the best of both worlds, we split our 4-night stay between two different hotels—saving money at the start and ending on a high note!

  • Hyatt Regency Seattle (Nights 1 & 2): We booked this stay using points. It was comfortable, centrally located, and the perfect base for our initial city exploration.

  • Lotte Hotel Seattle (Nights 3 & 4): We used Amex points to upgrade to this luxury property for the last half of our trip. Ending a babymoon at a high-end hotel with stunning waterfront views and top-tier service made the trip feel extra special!

Day 1: Pike Place Food Crawl & Autumn Foliage

Morning Coffee & Pike Place Bites

Gum Wall Seattle Babymoon

After landing and picking up our rental car mid-morning, we headed straight to Cherry Street Coffee House for a quick caffeine fix. From there, we walked right into Pike Place Market for an impromptu food crawl:

  • Piroshky Piroshky: A total must! The beef and cheese piroshky was so delicious.

  • The Gum Wall & Market Seafood: We took a quick stroll past the famous Gum Wall and spent time admiring the massive lobster tails, giant shrimp, and fresh fish displays.

  • Mee Sum Pastry: We tried the Curry Beef Hom Bow, pork skewers, and steaming dumplings.

  • Tiny’s Organic Apple Cider: Ended the food tour with a warm cup of apple cider to capture those autumn vibes.

Afternoon Foliage at the Arboretum

After resting at the Hyatt Regency, we headed to the Washington Park Arboretum. Walking through the quiet paths and exploring the Japanese Garden delivered breathtaking fall colors and a peaceful environment to relax.

Dinner Date Night

We wrapped up our first day with rustic Italian pasta at Spinasse—the ideal cozy, intimate setting for a date night.

Day 2: Iconic Seattle Views & Late-Night Craving Satisfied

Breakfast & City Landmarks

Chihuly Museum Seattle Babymoon
Space Needle Seattle Babymoon

To help me relax in the room, my husband grabbed breakfast pastries and shakshuka nearby. Fueling up with coffee from Monorail Espresso, we took the monorail over to Seattle Center:

  • Chihuly Garden and Glass: We bought the combo ticket and caught an incredible live glass-blowing demonstration.

  • The Space Needle: Located right next door, we took in 360-degree views of the city skyline and Puget Sound.

Pike Place Seafood Lunch

We made our way back over to Pike Place Market for lunch:

  • Pike Place Chowder: Famous, rich, and so satisfying on a crisp fall day.

  • Market Grill: Famous for their unbelievable blackened salmon sandwich. Blackened Salmon Sandwich Market Grill Seattle

Evening Sights & a Must-Try Dessert

Fremont Troll Seattle Babymoon

After a necessary afternoon bump-nap, we drove out near sunset to visit the famous Fremont Troll.

For dinner, we ate at Le Coin, a charming French bistro. But the real star of the night came after dinner when a late-night dessert craving led us to Hot Cakes—their warm molten lava cakes are out of this world!

Day 3: A Mountain Scenic Drive & Filipino Fine Dining

Cascades Drive & Leavenworth

Leavenworth Bavarian Village

We started the morning early by checking out of the Hyatt and dropping our things off out the Lotte hotel. Then we grabbed some special malasada donuts from Fuji bakery nearby before making the drive out toward Leavenworth for their famous Oktoberfest.

Along the scenic drive, we grabbed coffee at Espresso Chalet, pulled over at mountain lookouts for incredible Cascade Mountain photos, and spent the day shopping for holiday ornaments and eating at Rhein Haus. We left around 3 PM to head back to the city.

Dinner at Musang

After driving back to Seattle, we had dinner at Musang, an incredible Filipino restaurant that turned out to be my favorite meal of the entire trip. Definitely try the whole fish!! It was so good.

Day 4: Snoqualmie Falls, Bainbridge Island Ferry & A Luxe Finish

Breakfast in Bed & Waterfall Views

Breakfast In Bed Lotte Hotel Seattle Babymoon

We woke up at the Lotte Hotel Seattle and treated ourselves to a fancy breakfast in bed. Once fuel was secured, we took a short drive out to see Snoqualmie Falls—a dramatic, beautiful waterfall surrounded by lush fall scenery. There is a short, paved walkway that allows you to get up close to the falls and read about their history. Both pregnancy and stroller friendly!

Bainbridge Island Day Trip

Next, we headed to the ferry terminal to take the iconic Seattle-to-Bainbridge Island ferry.

  • The Ferry Experience: The ferry boat itself was surprisingly comfortable, complete with a coffee bar and snack kiosk on board.

  • Exploring Bainbridge: Bainbridge Island is incredibly walkable, packed with local artisan shops, boutiques, and adorable eateries. We opted for a delicious Indian restaurant for lunch before strolling the town.

A Sunset Farewell

We wrapped up our final evening with dinner at the Lotte Hotel’s in-house restaurant Charlotte, dining on great food while taking in beautiful water views. We flew home early the next morning right after breakfast at the airport, ending our fall babymoon on a high note! Charlotte Restaurant at Lotte Hotel Seattle

Worthwhile Seattle Tours & Experiences

While we loved wandering at our own pace, taking a guided tour can make your trip much smoother, especially when you’re pregnant or short on time! Here are a few top-rated tours worth booking:

  • Pike Place Market Guided Food Tour: Pike Place is huge and can feel overwhelming. A guided food tasting tour is the most efficient (and delicious!) way to sample the market’s best-kept culinary secrets without standing in endless decision lines. (Book a Pike Place Food Tour Here)

  • Seattle Coffee Culture Tour: If you’re a coffee lover, booking a curated coffee tasting tour is a fantastic way to experience Seattle’s iconic cafe scene and sample top brews across the city. (Book a Seattle Coffee Tour Here)

  • Space Needle & Chihuly Combination Ticket: Save money and hassle by grabbing a discounted combo ticket for both attractions since they sit right next to each other. (Grab Your Combo Ticket Here)

  • Guided Bainbridge Island Tour: Since we didn’t bring a car over on the ferry, exploring Bainbridge involved quite a bit of walking. If you want to see all the highlights in a comfortable 2-hour window without wearing yourself out, a guided island tour is a lifesaver! (Book the Bainbridge Island Discovery Tour Here)

  • Day Trip Tour from Seattle to Leavenworth: If you prefer not to rent a car (and avoid pricey hotel parking fees in downtown Seattle), you can easily take an organized day tour that picks you up directly in Seattle, stops at scenic points like Espresso Chalet, and drops you off right in Leavenworth! (Book the Leavenworth Day Tour Here)

Tips for Planning a Seattle Babymoon Itinerary

  • Pace Yourself: Seattle has plenty of hills! Don’t hesitate to schedule afternoon naps into your itinerary—especially between lunch and dinner.

  • Mix Hotel Types: Book a convenient, mid-scale hotel near downtown for heavy sightseeing days, and end your trip at a luxury waterfront resort to pamper yourself before baby arrives.

  • Ferry Travel: Taking the Bainbridge Island ferry is a low-impact, incredibly scenic way to experience Puget Sound without over-exerting yourself.

This was such a great bonding trip for us before we welcomed our second baby. We traveled so much before our first was born and while we’ve enjoyed traveling with her, there is something special about exploring a new city, tasting new foods, and enjoying some quiet time with your spouse sans kids. While some might prefer a quiet beach trip to re-connect, this Seattle babymoon itinerary is exactly what we needed!
